Describe yourself in 3 words.
Intuitive, strong and caring
Do you have any hidden talents?
I organize like a boss! Seriously. After trick-or-treating every year, my absolute favorite is to organize all my kids candy by brand, flavor or size....like a bunch of times.
What is your favorite food?
My favorite food is Anti-pasta: crusty baguettes with cheese, salami, and olives or any pickled vegetables
What is your favorite yoga pose and why do you like it?
Ardha Chandrasana (half moon pose) is my favorite pose because it feels amazing every time I get into it. I feel strong, open and expansive even when I fall out of it. ;)
What is your favorite TV show?
Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown is my favorite show. I love learning about food, travel and the wisdom of Anthony.
What is the best part about being a yoga instructor?
The best part about being a yoga instructor is helping people to come back to their breath, and learn to be present with their intuitive bodies both on and off the mat.
What is your most embarrassing moment?
In 8th grade, I had to switch to a new school and I was scared and nervous. I was trying my hardest to impress everyone, especially in how I dressed. During the first week of school I wore my favorite dress. I got off the bus, I put on my backpack and strutted my stuff all the way across campus to class. Once I got there, a sweet girl let me know that my dress had been tucked up under my backpack the entire way. I was mortified! I quickly went into the bathroom and changed into my ugly P.E. clothes so no one would recognize the dress or me. I switched back to my old school the next week.
Tell us something surprising about yourself.
I have 2 herniated discs in my back, and for years I was in pain. It affected my day to day life. This is one of the reasons I was drawn to yoga. Yoga has helped to strengthen these areas in my body, and has also taught me to listen to what my body needs to keep things feeling good and happy.
What super power would you like to have?
If I could have super power it would have to be teleportation hands down. That would be amazing, and it would help with pollution problems. :)
What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
The craziest thing I've ever done is birth my daughter at home without a midwife. My daughter decided it was time to meet me stat! That is when I fully learned what it is like to completely let go and listen, trust, and follow the miraculous and intuitive body.
