Do you have any hidden talents?
I have pretty good survival skills…does that count as a talent? I can build a fire and shelter with minimal resources, can set traps and fish for food, have decent aim with a firearm (though I would struggle with the act of actually shoot any living thing), know how to handle a pocket knife, hatchet, ax and machete, have a good sense of direction and know how to purify water. Working on foraging and identifying edible plants.
What is your favorite food?
Sushi or Japanese Ramen and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.
What do you do for fun?
Snowboard, hike, camp, travel, dance, wake surf, cook, read and play with my nieces and nephew.
What is your fave yoga pose and why do you like it?
Tree. Not only do I have a slight obsession with trees in general, but the pose is fun and all encompassing. Rooting, stabilizing, balancing, challenging, opening, powerful and playful.
Best part of being a yoga instructor?
People are forced to listen to what I have to say… haha jk. I love knowing that I am walking with fellow students on their journey towards knowing themselves on a deeper level. I also love the personal challenge to continually learn and grow to stay authentic and inspired.
List two pet peeves.
Tell us something surprising about yourself.
I have a degree in Merchandising Product Development from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising that I used to design/develop ski and snowboard outerwear for 7 years. I also use to break dance.

What is the first thing you do when you wake up?
Plan when I can take a nap… then breath, meditate and set my intentions for the day.
What super power would you like to have?
Ability to fly or snap transportation

Loooove fire!! Everything about it, the smell, the sounds, the feel, the sight. I could stay up all night watching things burn.
If you ruled the world, what would you change on day 1?
Give copious funding to combating climate change.
Mandate daily naps and yoga/meditation time for everyone.
Name three things on your bucket list.
Snowboard on every continent (3 down, 4 more to go!).
Study yoga in India.
Own a small, self-sustaining cabin in the mountains.
What is the coolest place you’ve visited?
That is a tough one! I took a snowboarding trip of a lifetime to Japan that blew my mind. The snow, the terrain, the people, the food, my crew, all left an imprint on my heart.
What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
Depends who you ask. I have jumped out of a plane. I have moved to a new state by myself where I knew no one. I have bought a one-way ticket to Europe and backpacked around until my money ran out. I have eaten snake soup with a shot of snake blood, among other weird things. I have left stable jobs, relationships and comfortable living situations to follow my heart and pursue my passions. I became a teacher despite a nearly debilitating fear of public speaking. Take your pick!
